FoxFarm Ocean Forest Potting Soil is a premium, ready-to-use growing medium that combines nutrient-rich ingredients from the earth and sea. Its powerful blend includes aged forest products, sphagnum peat moss, earthworm castings, bat guano, fish emulsion, crab meal, shrimp meal, sandy loam, and perlite.
Designed primarily for container gardening, Ocean Forest provides a light, aerated texture that balances drainage, moisture retention, and root-zone oxygen. Its built-in fertilizer charge supplies initial nutrition, allowing most plants to grow for approximately three to four weeks before requiring a regular feeding program.
Ocean Forest contains aged forest products, sphagnum peat moss, perlite, sandy loam, and fertilizer derived from fish emulsion, crab meal, shrimp meal, earthworm castings, bat guano, and oyster shell.
Guaranteed Analysis:
Fill the container with Ocean Forest Potting Soil, stopping approximately 1 inch below the upper edge. Position the plant at the proper depth, gently firm the soil around the root mass, and water thoroughly. Allow excess water to drain and avoid packing the soil too tightly.
Use directly from the bag when planting or repotting indoor plants. Choose a container with adequate drainage and water thoroughly after planting.
Apply approximately a 3-inch layer around established plants. Carefully work the fresh potting soil into the existing medium without damaging plant roots, then water thoroughly.
Choose a container wider and deeper than the plant’s existing root mass. Add enough potting soil to position the plant at the correct height, fill around the roots, gently firm the perimeter, and water thoroughly.
Ocean Forest provides enough initial nutrition to feed most plants for approximately three to four weeks. During this period, use plain water or supplement gently with FoxFarm Big Bloom if desired. After the initial nutrient charge has been used, begin feeding with a FoxFarm fertilizer appropriate for the plant’s current growth stage.
Always monitor plant response, moisture levels, and environmental conditions when determining watering and fertilization frequency.
